Day 3: Visiting Ate Mayang

On our 3rd day in San Carlos, we decided to visit Ate Mayang and her family. Ate Mayang is like an older sister to my boyfriend. He told me stories about how close they were while growing up.

Life in the province summed up in one picture

At first, I was hesitant to tell stories to Ate Mayang since it's our first meeting since my boyfriend and I became a couple. But as talkative as I was and because of Ate Mayang's welcoming aura and chummy personality, I easily warmed up to her like an old friend and an older sister as well. ;)

T-bag welcomed as with his loud and threatening barks when he saw us. :P
But after a few minutes, he felt comfortable with our presence.

Hello, T-bag! :D

When Ben found out that there is a coconut tree at Ate Mayang's backyard, he got so excited that he immediately climbed up the tree thinking that it was that easy.

The Attempt

This is the look in his face when he realized that it's not easy to climb up that tree. :p

It is pretty amazing to have an easy access to coconuts in your backyard and get as many coconuts as you want for free when each coconut bought in Manila costs 30php. T.T

Thank you for the warm welcome and wonderful stories Ate Mayang and family! :)
