Day 2: Ei-em and Glenn's wedding day. :)

The next day, we woke up early and took a walk to the marketplace. My boyfriend also showed me the school that he's been to, canteens that serve good food and their plaza. The streets were so peaceful. The air was fresh. People were smiling. It was quite relaxing. It was way different from the busy, noisy and polluted streets in Manila. Growing up in the province, I pretty much enjoyed the scenery in San Carlos especially in the morning.

At 7:00 in the morning

The Plaza

At around 9am, we went back to the inn and prepared for Ei-em's wedding. Ei-em is my boyfriend's cousin.

The Beautiful Bride

We were invited as part of the entourage to light the unity candles on their wedding day. :)

It was kind of embarrassing that we didn't know what to do when we were called out to light the Unity Candles. HAHA! The priest kind of look dismayed that we had to ask where the candles were. The sacristan and the couple had to point us where the candles were. But gladly, we were able to accomplish our roles on their wedding day. :p

I also got to meet some relatives of my boyfriend in the province.

The reception was held in Jumbo which, according to my boyfriend, is the most popular place for different occasions in San Carlos. Some relatives and friends of the couple who were not able to attend the wedding ceremony went to the reception instead. Some politicians were also invited.

The couple did the money dance which is a tradition during wedding receptions wherein the newly-wed dances and guests pin paper bills to their garments.

As Wikipedia defines it, the money dance tradition represents "the wish that good fortune is "rained" upon them, while also helping the couple financially as they begin their life together."

*Tossing of the Bouquet*

During the tossing of bouquet, I was asked by the host to join the said event since it is for all single ladies in the audience. The bouquet tossing was done differently. It was not the traditional way that we all know. They asked all the single ladies to form a circle and pass the bouquet from one another to the next while the music plays. When the music stops, the last person holding the bouquet will be eliminated. It was a fun one!

On the final part, it was a battle between I and a bridesmaid. The bridesmaid seemed to be so eager to get the bouquet that she had to pass it to me very quickly as the music stopped. I wanted her to have it but as the universe conspired, I got the bouquet. Hihee.

It was my first time to join the tossing of bouquet and luckily got it.

They say that whoever catches the bride's bouquet will be the next person to get married. Hihee. I don't know. :p If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. ;)

This is the scene wherein whoever catches the garter tossed by the groom will wear it to the single lady who catches the bouquet. :p

Below is Ei-em and Glenn's souvenir. :)

It was a fun-filled day even if I had to endure the pain of wearing stilettos that day. ;)
